wdaw2wing v1 10
wdaw2wing, initially created to enable WING DAW surfaces to control WING rack, can work just as well with an X-Touch as shown here, and a mix of up to 3 MIDI devices, WING DAW surfaces, X-Touch or any MCU compatible device.
In this video (sorry for the low quality of the image) we show the basic operation of wdaw2wing using an X-Touch. Absolutely no programming needed!, just connect your X-Touch in MC/USB mode to your PC, and launch the application to automatically find the remote WING to control from the X-Touch device (or use argument -i [IP] to set the WING IP), and forget the PC! All controls are available from the X-Touch buttons or jog wheel.
You can manage (directly from the X-Touch) any WING channel, aux, bus, main, matrix or DCA strip, and all groups of sends available on WING (sends to bus, to main, to matrix). Pan control is possible when available on WING, and so is EQ for the STD model on any selected channel strip.
Solo, Mute, pan, Select, EQ, Sends ON and all strip faders and sends levels are controllable both ways (X-Touch to Wing or Wing to X-Touch).
A simple coloring scheme is available for X-Touch scribbles.
Vu Meters are updated in real-time, following the WING vu meters; Additionally Vu Meters can be selected to be Pre or Post fader or strip per bank, offering more visual options than what is shown/available on WING.
X-Touch Scribbles receive channel strip names from the remote WING, and when managing EQ, scribbles will display frequency and Q value for all available EQ band for the selected strip which EQ is being controlled.
A mix of up to 3 devices can be used and managed from the master MIDI device. Devices can be any of WING DAW surface, X-Touch or any MCU compatible MIDI device.
MIDI USB connection is preferred for performance reasons.
Read the manual for more details and additional controls at startup and during operation.
